Root of Hope's commitment to the social draws its essence from James 2:14-17 :
“What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
In the past, the social works carried out by Root Of Hope in Dekandji , Azové and Bohicon were made possible thanks to subscriptions to which a few people of good will responded. It is therefore possible that, from time to time, a call for voluntary subscriptions will be launched.
Any member can also, in a spirit of thanksgiving, decide to donate food, material or financial goods to the Root Of Hope. These donations will be added to the fund, which is intended to help the most marginalized sections of society who need it most. A detailed report will be produced each time to give an account of how the resources have been used, together with proof of receipt by the final beneficiaries of the social action taken.
Root Of Hope will not receive any donations or resources from money laundering or terrorist funds.
