“Then Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was on him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.” Daniel 6:3

During a football, a rugby or a handball match, the player that is carrying the ball is the one all the others usually run after. Some aim to distract him, others to collect the ball from him, but all expects to prevent him from scoring goals. Similarly, in the race of life, we may all be on the same playground but we are not equal; the destiny that we carry distinguishes us from one another. While we may not have the potential to identify these with our carnal eyes, in the spiritual realm, there are stars readers who can easily spot these. Using all demonic and satanic means, they will therefore make sure they fill the lives of people with good stars with all sorts of challenges, the ultimate goal of which is to divert them from their destinies.

Look at our meditation verse, hardly had the king planned to appoint Daniel over the whole realm when Daniel started facing the troubles that led him to the lion den. Satan also saw Joseph’s brilliant future and labored in vain to prevent it. In a recent sermon, Apostle Johnson mentioned the case of a lawyer who graduated brilliantly but has never pleaded a case for years simply because in the spiritual realm, all his documents were placed on top of a tree.

Wickedness is real and Satan is champion thereof. Where he sometimes fails to prevent people from fulfilling their destiny, he knows how to make sure they don’t take full advantage of their achievements. This can be through sicknesses, accidents, untimely death, preventing your potential helpers from noticing your talents or sponsoring people with evil intention to spread negative information about you, etc.

If you are passing through difficult times with a succession of negative events in your life, take some time to assess whether these are occurring as a result of any wrongdoing from you. If that is the case, please bow your head before your Lord and Savior and ask for his mercy. Otherwise, take heart and cling yourself to God, knowing that you are carrying an eminence which is attracting the enemy Satan to you. Alone, you will not defeat Satan. But with God fighting by your side, you are more than conqueror, because no matter how long these challenges last, their end can but glorify God.
