“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” Romans 10:10

If there is something the long tradition of walking with Christ has brought home to most Christians, it is certainly the unwavering belief in the words of 2 Corinthians 1:20: “For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and (…) Amen”. Thus, most, if not all Christians believe in God and in his promises. But, while that belief produces results for a few Christians, the remaining majority has little to nothing to show and generally ends up asking themselves questions and wondering whether their situation is too irrelevant or their problem too inconsequential to attract the Almighty’s attention.

Beloved, God is principled. According to Romans 2:11, “(…) there is no respect of persons with God”. Therefore, the fact that God satisfies some Christians’ requests shows that there is a divine principle by which they operate which the others either don’t know or are not applying. In fact, the majority of Christians hear the word of God with their ears, believe it with the heart and that is the end of it. They stop that faith journey half-way, and thus overlook a very key step that we are reminded in Romans 10:10. Actually, every prophetic word we receive and believe should prompt us to confess or make bold declarations. For example, when Romans 8:37 says “(…) in all these things we’re more than conquerors through him that loved us”, each one of us needs to appropriate that prophetic word and boldly confess it like this: “I am more than conqueror…”. As you can see, the role of the mouth in making God’s promises come to pass in our lives cannot be overlooked. In 2 Cor. 4:13, it is written: “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, “I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak”.

Bold declaration is the signature of true faith. No matter the area of your life where you want God’s promise to come to pass, speak it into being; you may not look like it now but God will act on your declaration and before you realize it, it will start manifesting. Let your ear hear or your eyes read God’s promises! Let your heart wholly believe it! Let your mouth boldly and confidently declare it and see how God will perform it for your joy and for his glory. Remain blessed!
