‘’And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.’’ Luke 1: 5-6
Zechariah & Elizabeth were trusting God when a desire was unfulfilled. Imagine having been married for a long time, unable to have kids and living in a culture that measured God’s love by the number of children people have. What made them to trust God when their Dawn Was Dark is because they had FAITH. (Heb 11:6)
WHY TRUST HIM WHEN THE DAWN IS DARK
1. He Is Omnipresent
God can be present everywhere at the same time and does not need any approval. Because God is present everywhere, you and I are never alone in whatever we go through. Proverb 15:3 says ‘’The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good’’ Even those who plot evil against you are seen by God and He has the power to destroy them in one Second.
2. He Is Indestructible
God is as powerful as His word and no government can destroy Him. He was not and will never be voted for or against. He will remain forever and ever. If that is so, then you need to trust Him in your dark situation. This is because with Him by you no one will destroy you and your darkest hour will only last for a while. (Job 2:6)
3. He Is The Ultimate Winner In Battles
God has never lost any battle and will never lose one. Since the day of creation and forever He remains the winner in all battles. So, your situation is not and exception for victory.
4. He Gives Strength And Does Not Leave His Sheep
He gives supernatural strength to his children whenever the devil takes the battle of life to uncommon ground. In the case of the three Hebrew boys, the devil took the battle to the blazing furnace and ordered for them to be thrown in it. But God turned the blazing furnace to a coolant. (Daniel 3:25)
5.He Uses The Weak To Accomplish His Sovereign Purpose
In the sight of God, weakness is not criterion for disqualification. Rather, it is a prerequisite for accomplishment of sovereign purpose. (Judges 6:11-25)
Therefore, whatever situation you are currently passing through, don’t let your attitude be shaped by what you see. Let nothing shake your trust in Him.
