“Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” Psalm 102:13

There is a set time for the favor of God to manifest in every life. Because it is a set time, all will not occur at the same time for everybody, but on specific times. To fully understand the 7 wonders, let us get a hint of the terms Time and Favour from Biblical perspective.

Time is generally defined in Greek as “chronos” and “kairos”. Chronos” means a chronological sequence, calculated in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries and millennia. Kairos” means God’s divine intervention to accelerate occurrence on one’s behalf.

Favour on the other hand is defined as: (1) Receiving preferential treatment and special privileges from God. (2) God special affection and influence that makes people to like what you do and to cooperate with you. (3) Tangible evidence of God’s approval, whether man likes it or not. (Job 42:10, Deu 28:7); (4) The giving power to breakthrough and overcome barriers; (5) Special victory, causing perpetual open heaven. (2 Samuel 6:11-23, Job 42:12).

From these definitions, you’ll now understand that when God says the set time to favour has come it could mean His immediate divine intervention to accelerate preferential treatment and special privileges for us. His approval of our victory over sickness, poverty, lack and want, over accident, etc.

As children of God, we can access this favour through loving God and demonstrating it, through going in search of the knowledge of God (Proverbs 8:35), through Sowing favour (Psalm 112:5, Galatians 6:7, Matthew 5:7) and through humility (James 4:6).

WHAT ARE THE 7 WONDERS OF GOD’S FAVOUR:

1. Favour produces supernatural increase and promotion (Genesis 39:21)

2. Favour produces restoration of everything the enemy has stolen from you (Exodus 3:21).

3. Favour produces honour in the midst of your adversaries (Exodus 11:3).

4. Favour produces great victories in the midst of great impossibilities (Joshua11:20).

5. Favour produces recognition, even when you seem the least likely to receive it (1Samuel 16:22).

6. Favour produces prominence and preferential treatment (Esther 2:17).

7. Favour grants petition even by ungodly evil authorities (Esther 5:8).

‘‘When you sow favour in those that do not deserve it, you’ll reap favour from where you don’t deserve it.’’

May we receive God’s divine oil of favour this year in Jesus Mighty Name.
