Gildas DJISSA

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” Ephesians 1.7
The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross is a work of such significance. Through this sacrifice we have redemption. This is an unprecedented transaction between the world of darkness and that of light. It is a legal act of transfer of ownership between the prince of darkness and the God of eternal life. The price of this transaction is the blood of the son of God.
In the past, we were sinners and deprived of the glory of God. We were captive prisoners by the prince of this world simply because we belong to the human race. This is now the past. He blot out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross (Colossians 2:14).
The grace of God gives us forgiveness of our sins, but it is the blood that gives us redemption. It consecrates our passage from death to life, from poverty to wealth, from curse to blessing, from condemnation to justification, from sickness to healing, from rejection to the acceptance of the Father, and from humiliation we have access to the Glory of God.
Redemption by blood is not theoretical, it is spiritual truth, but also practical experience of the divine power that delivers us from all dominion. We do not invoke the blood of Jesus as a vain incantation, but a legal argument that strongly opposes all claims of the dark world and any intrusion of the enemy into our lives. Jesus paid the price, yes, I am made free, my life is borrowed from light and the sky is open to me.
Sometimes we can ask ourselves about the challenges of sin, the resurgence of congenital diseases, our struggles with various addictions, and all those obscure links that remind us of the old life of slavery, despite our belonging to the kingdom of God. Do not give in to the lies of the enemy who returns to the assault to seduce us. Let us fully grasp our salvation by the consciousness of redemption. Let us no longer tolerate any form of cooperation with the enemy of our souls and the works of his kingdom.
A prayer for this week
Divine Father, give me the awareness and full experience of redemption through the blood of Jesus. Amen.
