GOD’S WAYS ARE PAST FINDING OUT!

“(…) how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!” Romans 11:33

God does not need to take us through straight ways for us to achieve our destinies. While in his sovereignty, he might allow some people to live a seemingly challenge-free life, for most of us, achieving our destiny will have its fair share of difficulties. For example, God might allow somebody to experience rejection repeatedly. Once the fellow is fed up of that and cries out to Him, He will turn his situation around and take him to the highways of the fulfilment of his destiny. Look at Jephthah in Judges 11.

What about Joseph! What he ended becoming starkly contrasted with the way that took him there. Indeed, when he was rejected by his brothers, put in a pit, sold to unknown businessmen and he, his father’s preferred son with his coat of many colors had to work as Potiphar’s servant and later sent to prison, could any human mind have imagined then that crooked, challenge-filled and heart-breaking way was meant to propel him into the seat of Prime Minister of a country he was not a citizen of? Certainly not!

Now look at the case of Rahab, a professional prostitute, reduced to the extreme of selling her body to meet her needs and probably those of his family! The society had already condemned her. But, look at the great level of wisdom she displayed in Joshua 2:11-14 and see how the Lord turned around her situation! Her house was the only one to have been spared when the Lord dealt with Jericho and later, Rahab was mentioned in the lineage of Jesus!

Truly, God’s ways are past finding out! Though the script of your life may look scary at the beginning, dangerous in the middle and utterly hopeless toward the end, so long as it is written by God, stay tune and hopeful till the end for a smile will ultimately enlighten your face.

We serve a God that can write straight with crooked lines; he can bring the best out of a seemingly evil way or situation. If, as written in Romans 8:28, God really means that all things work together for good to them that love God (and he does mean it) and if you know that you truly love him, please continue trusting him, be full of hope and you will see how your current obviously desperate situation will end up giving him glory. Take heart and trust Him!
