“What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?” Luke 15:4

The heartbeat of God is to find his lost sheep. People who have gone astray from him, people whom we castigate as prostitute, liars, gangsters, fetish people; our brothers and sisters who go to church every day but feel a dark hole in their heart because they are condemning themselves for the sins they have committed.

Many a time when sin has entered our lives, we find it very difficult to go to the Lord in prayer and be reconciled with God. We condemn ourselves for the sins we have committed and allow the enemy of our lives to take over us. What we must remember is that Christ has not come to condemn us. Rather, he came to reconcile us with God: “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18)

In the whole Bible, we see references of God making his will known unto man. In the book of Jeremiah, he poured out his heart beat for his lost sheep Israel, whom he said their shepherd has misled them but that He, God, will find his lost sheep. This is also depicted in the book of Luke 15:4.6, where the shepherd had to leave 99 of his sheep to find one lost sheep. And Jesus told us how heaven will rejoice over one lost sheep that is found. Again, in the book of Mathew 15:24, He told his disciples that He came to find the lost sheep of Israel and also commanded Peter in John 21: 16 that Peter should feed his sheep.

Jesus knows that there will be a time when man sins. He said when a righteous man falls seven times, seven times he shall rise again. He hears our prayers and lifts us up when we call on him. HE HEARS THE GROANING OF THE DESTITUTE. Psalms 102:19-20, says: “For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth; To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death.”

Go to the Lord in prayer and ask him for mercy. He is waiting on all of us to feed his sheep.
