“When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, “Don’t cry.”” Luke 7.13
Beloved ones,
The Bible passage we are meditating on today is related to the death and the resurrection of the unique son of the widow of Nain. The Holy Bible says that, “(…) Jesus went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with him. As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, “Don’t cry.” Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!” The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.” Luke 7: 11-15
What a miracle! What a matter of satisfaction for the poor widow to see her unique child come back to life as a result of the intervention of the Doctor of doctors!
Beloved one, what is it that is unique in your life but that is no more alive? Though I might not know it, there is one assurance I want to share with you: the Lord Jesus has compassion on whatever unique in your life is no longer alive, be it your heart, your head, your stomach, your sexual organ, your job, your business, your company, your service, your wife, your husband, your daughter or son. As per his word, he has entrusted me with the responsibility of telling you not to cry! Yes, you got it right! Cry not, for God’s compassion toward you is real. Jesus Christ, the Lion of the Tribe of Juda, the Root of David, has overcome and has the power to dry your tears by restoring one hundred fold of whatever you may have lost.
As the anthem “Go bury thy sorrow” goes, “Go bury it deeply, go hide it with care, Go think of it calmly, when curtained by night, Go tell it to Jesus, and all will be right. Go tell it to Jesus, He knoweth thy grief; Go tell it to Jesus, He’ll send thee relief; Go gather the sunshine He sheds on the way: He’ll lighten thy burden. Go, weary one, pray”
Your case is always different and I would advise you to stop crying and rather move forward with God in full assurance
