In the year two thousand and twelve, on Saturday, April 7th, a ceremony was held at the “Village of Hope” orphanage in Azove to hand over food and supplies.

This equipment was acquired with the proceeds of voluntary contributions from Root Of Hope members who, in addition to sharing the Word of God in an electronic network called Weekly Bread, have set themselves the mission of organizing an annual social action for the benefit of a target group chosen from among the least well-off sections of society.

For 2012, the members of Root Of Hope have investigated and decided to focus their actions on the Department of Couffo. They identified the Village Of Hope orphanage as the center to benefit from their act of generosity.

The choice of this Center is a way for Root Of Hope to support the initiative of the people in charge of it in a one-off initiative with strength and enthusiasm. Indeed, the managers of the center are committed to rescuing orphans and other children the society has negatively labelled and they are working to ensure their survival first, and then gradually, with faith and perseverance, the respect of their other rights, notably the right to education. In this respect, and even though the resources available fall short of their ambitions (as demonstrated by the materials used to build the school), a substantial investment is made in the training of the children, who have been achieving excellent exam results every year.
