The love of Christ is so great that it draws us out of sins even at a time when we had no knowledge of him. Growing up, I refused to listen from anyone that says that Jesus is God. But in the midst of the denial, God drew me to be reading the abridged version of the Bible that has Psalms and the new testament. I do not know what made me read. I became so intrigued with the book of Psalms that I used it as a prayer even though I did not want to be a Christian. Ironical, isn’t it ?
Since I was stubborn, the second thing He did was to show Himself in a dream. For three days, I was battling with someone, whom I defeated on the third day by the name of Jesus. God gave me a scripture in the book of Isaiah on salvation and when I woke up, I turned to the verse and found it as it was given to me in the dream.
Friends, my foundation was dark. I never knew that my father had made a covenant with mermaid spirit to protect his children ; I never knew either that my mother’s father had a demon who speaks to people and they hear.
And through this all, He drew me out of the depth of the cave and saved me. A man of God once told me that they had wanted to kill me when I was in my mum’s womb. This was confirmed by my mum who told me I was in her womb for a year. For the Lord hath called me from the womb ; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1). He commendeth his love toward me, in that, while I was yet a sinner, Christ died for me (Romans 5:8)
I received Jesus Christ at the age of 17 and served him diligently. And God has taken me from the miry clay and set my foot upon the rock to stand because his grace found me.
Every opportunity you have to pray and serve Him you should know it is not by your will, but according to the power that worketh in you through Christ Jesus.
